In my experience the best DVD players are made by dividing Upconvert ... But they are almost as expensive as the Blu-ray. The Next Best few Blu-ray or HD-DVD (which serve well upconverters DVD) ... but they are also out of your budget. Toshiba provides a number of DVD players (XDE online, click the first link), designed to provide good images enhanced DVD ... while the slightly more expensive than entry-level model upscales into account when you are available for you.

I hesitate to recommend an Upconverting household level players, as we know that some do not offer much if any advantage over using a regular DVD player and it is difficult to predict the relative performance of different producers on different measurement chip (in factto deal with them).

It recommended, however, some players from Sony and Philips as well for hitting balls into the cheap players. The points on the 2 and 3 Links may be helpful. That is, I doubt that significant differences were observed between any of the three brands that list (or even a normal progressive DVD player), especially in a 32 "720p HDTV.

Note that you need to connect via HDMI or component cables to see a profit.
